Ensuring a sustainable future

The way we operate today has a profound impact on all future generations. That is why we have made an ongoing commitment to being an environmentally sustainable business – without impacting the quality of our products or the service we provide.

At 3A Flooring, we strictly follow the world's leading environmental protection standards. This includes reducing pollution emissions during the production and processing of our products to sustainable transportation, sales and installation of our products.

LCARate™

Karndean Designflooring LVT ranges have achieved GreenTag™ LCARate Silver certification which offers eco-credit points towards GreenStar building projects.

LCARate™ is the life cycle analysis for all products and rating tools that engage analysis with separate outputs called an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This is a summary life cycle analysis report used for credits in some rating tools for GreenStar. Life cycle analysis is used to determine the environmental and Whole of Life (WoL) impact associated with a product; evaluating sustainability, recycled content and energy emissions.

FloorScore®

We have a responsibility as leading suppliers of LVT to ensure our flooring and flooring adhesives products meet the strict indoor air quality emissions criteria of FloorScore®.

Each of our planks and tiles contribute to improved indoor air quality, carrying a low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) FloorScore® certification, meeting LEED Credit 4.3.

FloorScore® certified products are recognized by a long list of healthy building programs including Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED), California Department of Public Health’s CAL 1350 standard and SCS-EC10.3-2014 Indoor Air Quality Product Performance Standard for Building Interiors.
